GitarooMan: When Worlds Collide

Chapter 1: Practicing Up
"Hey, Kenny! How's that song coming?" Ryan asked. He had been eagerly anticipating this day, as his friend was learning a new song on his guitar.
Kenny shrugged and laughed sheepishly. "Eh-heh, the thing about that is… well, I mess up a lot during the… beginning."
Ryan shrugs, "Well that's okay!"
"And the middle… and the end, too." Kenny rested his head on the wall. "I just… ain't cut out to be a guitarist! I suck!" He rammed his fist into the wall. "OW!"
"See, that's kind of attitude that's gonna get yourself hurt. Just practice a little! Here, use this! It might help!" Ryan handed a soundtrack to his underclassmen friend. "Just go with the flow!"
Kenny took the C.D. from his friend. "Gitaroo-man? Isn't this a game?" He tilted his head, curious as to what his friend was implying. "It's the soundtrack, dude. Put it in!'
Kenny hesitantly opened his C.D. player and put the disc in. "Uh… I'll try." He picked up his guitar and began to play Twisted Reality well.. Very well. "See, told you! I knew you could!" Ryan said to Kenny as he eased into more difficult songs. "I can do it!" Just then, Legendary Theme (the acoustic version) began to play. Kenny's arms turned to jelly as he was reminded of his break-up with his girlfriend. "Kenny, focus! I'll play the rhythm part for you, okay?" Ryan shouted over the guitars screeches of disapproval. "Ry, I forgot to tell yah… I'm bad at slow songs!" Kenny's head lowers. "I am a failure!" Ryan's eyes widen. "K-kenny?" "Don't try and cheer me up, it ain't gonna work!" Kenny looked at Ryan, only to see that he was looking past him. "Ryan?"
"Look out!" Kenny turned around in time to see two hands reaching from a portal of darkness. Before he could act, he and Ryan were swept up by the hands, raging through the portal.
A/N: Well, what do you think? I know it's stupid to do a fic of a rhythm game, normally, but this one actually has PLOT. Pleas R&R! ;) Chapter 2 up soon!
