This is just a random oneshot I wrote after watching Sacrifice again, It takes place after Denne is rescued.
Like an Old Married Couple
Kahlan, Richard and Denne waited till they where far enough from the prison to take of their chains. Richard UN-locked his metal collar and rubbed his neck.
"Geeze Kahlan could you be any more gentle?" Richard growled sarcastically
Kahlan rolled her eyes and shifted in the Mord-Sith costume. "Well I'm sorry, maybe if you where wearing this you would feel my pain!"
Richard chuckled. "Well, your the one that got a little to comfortable as a Mord-sith, a little to comfortable for my taste."
Kahlan growled and stood up. "Well I was just playing the part!"
Richard walked over to her. "You threw me on the ground!"
Kahlan go close to him and poked a finger to his chest. "Don't be a baby, you've been in worse pain then that!"
"You gave me whiplash, all that yanking and jerking hurt!" Richard yelled
"It -was -your- idea" Kahlan growled and with every word came with a hard poke in his chest.
"Yeah well-" Richard began
"Here let me remind you, 'Hey Kahlan no matter how much you think it might hurt me stay in the role' There do you remember now" Kahlan teased
Richard mouthed her words like a child would do to a parent. The random bickering lasted a few minutes till they remembered that Denna still was bound in chains. Kahlan knelt down and UN-did them. She then stood back up and kept arguing about useless things. Like how over protective Richard was, or how free willed Kahlan was, or the time at the springs when Richard was being a peeping tom.
Denne finally laughed hysterically and Kahlan and Richard jump, they had forgot about her presence. "Dear Spirits, you two argue like an old married couple, and Richard you where spying on my sister as she bathed? shame, shame"
Richard turned a deep red and mumbled something about a new trail to follow. He took off a few paces before the girls. Denne then turned to her older sister.
"He loves you its pretty clear." She stated
"I know." Kahlan breathed
"...And you love him to." Denne finished
Kahlan looked at Denne. "I uh well..."
Denne laughed "Don't worry, I wont tell mother confessor. So do you?"
Kahlan's face lite up and she smiled. "I do, but we could never be together."
"If three's a will three's a way." Denne said with a smile. "And having the seeker for a brother in law would be very nice."
Kahlan laughed and called Richard back over, he was done with his little hissy fit. He grabbed the other side of Denne and the three continued walking. And every once and a while Denne saw that Richard would stare at Kahlan with a goofy grin on his face. Kahlan also caught him with his grin, but she smiled at him and told him to focus on the road a head.
Denne saw it though, she saw that Richard would try his hardest to find a way to be with her. Never in her life has she seen a love this strong.

awww I thought it was funny, tell me what you guys think to. Richard and Kahlan are my new favorite coupling now, so you'll see more from me. Also constructive criticism is welcome with how I can improve but no flames.
