The day started normally. I woke up and walked around Bree. I greeted some young humans and soon after purchased some food. Soon after things started getting strange. People were running inside. After a couple minutes I was alone. A few men on horseback approached me and asked why I had not fled. "I see no reason to. Is danger approaching?" "Have you not heard? The orcs are marching outside of town. They are headed this way. Run and hide young elf." I ran towards the nearest building and took shelter. Several men and elves were also here. I thought about fighting but then ceased once I heard the orcs. A massive army had entered the city and was slaughtering all in sight. I heard the screams of children and women. These were definitely not orcs. They were Urak-Hai. They were killing any man who dared to challenge them.

I climbed the stairs of the building and viewed from the rooftop. We still had a chance but only if we could ambush them. I ran down stairs to the men. "Men we must do something! They are killing everyone! I have a plan. We must get some weapons from a shop. After that we must be quiet when killing them or they will be alerted and much more prepared than us." A young man looked up at me and said, "But sir. We are outnumbered greatly. If we try and make it to a store they will spot us and we will be killed." I sighed. "This is very true and…" At that moment the sound of horses shook the ground. Soldiers were here to fight for us!

I peeked out of a window and saw men attacking. Blood was spilled all over the ground. The bodies of humans and orc alike covered the city. Once the battle had ended I walked outside. My stomach wrenched at the sight of the mess.
