Clark and Bruce were driving in Bruce's car in Central City's direction when, suddenly, the car stopped in the middle of nowhere. Bruce, who was driving, tried to make the engines turn back on, but nothing worked.

"What happened?" Clark worriedly asked, although he already knew the answer.

"What do you think?" Bruce snapped at him. "We're out of gas."

"I told you to put more in before we left Metropolis," Clark reminded him, "but you never listen to me."

"And I told you to take care of your business… like your wife," Bruce snapped back.

"How dare you to put Lois in this conversation?" Clark angrily said before Lois, who was in the back seat, gazed out at them, annoyed.

"Guys, could you at least try to remember that I'm in the car next time you talk about me?" Lois suggested, trying to calm them down.

"Sorry, honey," Clark said as they got out of the car. "I guess we're a little nervous."

"Speak for yourself." Bruce teased, making Clark frown, annoyed.

"So, what's the plan?" Lois asked, worried. Superman and Batman had been working together for a while, but even so, they seemed to enjoy acting like they disliked each other, and Lois always thought it was funny that they were so stubborn.

"I don't have one… yet," Clark pointed out, making Bruce smirk. "What?"

"Somehow, that doesn't surprise me," Bruce teased again before he grabbed his phone and began to dial. "Alfred? Can you send me the jet? It's an emergency."

"Driving was your idea in the first place, remember? We could have gone by plane, but noooooo. You wanted to do on your terms, like always. I didn't want to interrupt my honeymoon and drag Lois to this stupid road trip," Clark nearly yelled. "Besides, Alfred told me-"

"You and Alfred can go to hell," Bruce snapped at him and Lois interrupted them again.

"Guys, guys. Are you out of your minds? This is not the time or place to have a fight. We have to find a place to stay, at least until the jet find us."

"You're right, Lois. Sorry," Clark said as he leaned over to kiss her passionately.

"You two should be ashamed of yourselves for fighting like that. You are acting like toddlers, you know?" Lois pointed, and they bowed their heads.

"Sorry, Lois," they said in unison.

"That's better," Lois said, crossing her arms with a smug smile. "Now, apologize to each other."

"Not in this lifetime," Bruce angrily announced, and he turned to go look for a gas station.

"No way!" Clark said, going in the opposite direction to look for a hotel.

Lois sighed, annoyed. It was like she was dealing with two stubborn kids. "Men!"

Later, back in Metropolis, they finally arrived at Chloe's apartment, where she had been waiting for them.

"So, how was the trip to Central City?" Chloe curiously inquired as she hugged Bruce. "I missed you."

"I missed you too," Bruce said, kissing Chloe deeply.

"One thing I can say, little cousin," Lois pointed out as she sat on the couch, "was that that is the last time I'll go on a trip with these two."
