"Ikuto, aren't the cherry blossoms beautiful?" Amu asked, her hand in Ikuto's. He looked down at her and smiled.
"Mhm," he said, looking up at the trees. They really are beautiful, he thought, reaching up to touch one of the flowers. A petal broke off and fell slowly to the ground.
"I met my first love under the cherry blossoms." She picked up a petal off the ground and closed her fingers around it, holding her fist to her chest. They mean a lot to me."
"Who was your first love?" he asked, his eyes shifting from the trees to her. She looked up at the sky, deep in thought.
"Oh, it was a long time ago." She dropped the petal and stared at the ground. "I was a little girl when I met him. I was only six years old. Now I'm twenty-seven, and he would be... oh, thirty-two, I think. He moved when I was fifteen. I... don't remember him at all."
"Did you really love him?" He let go of her hand and put his hands in the pockets of his pants.
"I wanted to marry him." She looked at her hand and smiled. "He gave me a promise ring, and I gave one to him. We had our whole life planned out, but when he moved... we lost touch." Ikuto took his hands out of his pocket, dropping a small object in the process. He bent down to pick it up, but Amu reached it before him.
"Thank you," he said, reaching his hand out. But Amu wasn't paying attention to him. She was still kneeling on the ground, staring at what Ikuto had dropped.
"Th-this is the promise ring," she said, looking up at Ikuto. "Why do you have it?"
"Because," he said, kneeling down and taking the ring from her, "you gave it to me. Twelve years ago." He lifted her chin up and pressed his lips to hers. He broke the kiss and wrapped his arms around her.
"Why didn't you tell me it was you?" she said, standing up and wiping the tears from her eyes.
"I was waiting for the right time to tell you." He looked at her and smirked. "Why didn't you remember me?" She hit his arm and blushed.
"It was twelve years ago!" she yelled, kissing him again. "I'm just happy that I found you."
"I love you," he said.
"I love you, too." She kissed him again, under the flowers that she had always loved.

A/N: So? Was it okay? I enjoyed writing it. The title is the title of a Morning Musume Sakuragumi called, "Sakura Mankai," translated as, "Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom." That is where I got the inspiration for this story. It's a really beautiful song. You should listen to it. The part at the top means:
