It was a clear and starry night: a night perfect for stargazing. Two people -a boy and a girl- were on two opposite sides of a meadow up on a hill. Both heads lay on crossed arms, bodies splayed on the grass.

Her POV

How lovely the stars are tonight. If only you were here, next to me. Stargazing is nothing without you. Somehow, they do not twinkle as bright when you are not with me, the stars. The sky's like a canvas, you once said. God used too much white and yellow painting the moon and the clouds, that's what the stars are. Specks and splatters.

Remember our nights here? You used to hold me in your arms while we watched the constellations up above. What happened to that?

I miss you.

Are you watching the same sky as I am now?

His POV

Are you watching the same sky as I am now?

Lying here, under the same sky as you had made me ponder. About life, love. Us. What happened to us?

I remember our night here. I held you in my arms, warm and safe, while you watched the constellations. I could only watch you as you admired God's creations. I told you that story, about God using too much paint thus creating the many stars we're under now.

I miss you.

After what seemed like hours on the hill, both boy and girl made their way down separate paths.

Both paths met at the foot of the hill. Boy and girl met.

"I've missed you," both said simultaneously without missing a heartbeat.

A/N : Well, I suppose it's meant to be.
