Forbidden Love
Hey, I'm back with a new story! Please don't hate on this cause I can't stand those sort of comments :/ Anyway, I'll shut up now so you can read. Enough of the drabble. And, enjoy...
Chapter One
I watched as my father and his dog team ran from Nome, Alaska. Another mail run. Well, at least it wasn't another medicine run. I'm the daughter of Balto, a half-wolfdog who saved the town. The children were infected with the sickness diphtheria in 1920, which was a year ago. I live with my mom, Jenna, and her owner, Rosey.
I used to be a leader of the wolf pack north from here. I missed my family so much, though that I ran back.
And here I am now. I walked into the mailroom to see a human boy standing in front of the counter. He looked as if he was arguing with the man behind the counter about something. "I'm telling you, I need the money." His voice was loud, and he was trying to get his point across. He was angry, I could tell. I froze in my place.
"I'm sorry, boy, but we just can't hand out money." The man frowned, puffing on his cigar. "Go on, now, go home." The boy shook his head in a fed up sort of way, then stormed out. I followed him outside. I looked at the boy. He was quite handsome. He wore a jacket and jeans, complete with boots.
His skin was tan, his hair brown, his eyes hazel. I barked a quick, sharp bark, and he finally looked up. "Hey, girl," he said when he saw me. "You're a wolf, aren't you?" My hackles rose. I could almost feel the growl rising in my throat, but I forced it down and wagged my tail. I didn't want people to notice that I was a wolf, but I guess that's kind of impossible when you're the daughter of Balto.
He smiled. "Hey, I know you! You're Balto's daughter, right?"
"Woof," I replied, wagging my tail yet again. "I was one of those kids," the boy said. I looked at him, shocked, and he nodded. "I really was. He saved my life. And I have nothing but respect for him." I licked his hand. "Atta girl. You're Aleu, am I right?"
"Woof," I repeated.
"Good girl. Well, talk to you tomorrow, I guess." He turned to go, then looked at me one last time. "I'm Rob, by the way," he told me. "My real name's Robert, but I just go by Rob." I nodded. Then he was gone. That boy was sooo hot. I was starting to get a crush on him. He was so handsome. I looked down. I wasn't supposed to mingle with humans. It was forbidden. But how was I supposed to stop myself, with how good-looking the boy was...?
AN: Sorry I left off with a little cliff hanger. Aleu is one of my fav characters, so I thought I'd make a story about her. Anyway, I really think this story will turn out well, if...WILL SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO ADD CHAPTERS TO A NEW STORY? I CANNOT SEEM TO FIGURE IT OUT AND IT'S REALLY ANNOYING ME! -_- Sorry for the caps but it really is bugging me. So...your comments on it are appreciated. ShewolfSOS, signing out! :D
