'It was over, well all but the aftermath. The Dark Lord was dead, Potter the hero, and I even got pardoned after Dumbledore's pensive showed up detailing the circumstances behind the events at the astronomy tower. ' Snape sneered at his reflection in the mirror as he straightened his dress robes and thought of today's coming events. He turned quickly his black robe billowing behind him as he made his way out of the dungeon and into the halls of Hogwarts.

'Of course, now the blame must be laid and medals handed out after all nothing is more important than saving a politician's arse.' A hard gleam appeared in Snape's eyes as his steps echoed in the now empty halls as he made his way out of the castle. 'And who better to blame than Slytherin? After all, that was the house of Riddle and many of his followers. Never mind that there might be a reason for that, perhaps the fact that Slytherin and everything in it has always been considered evil and treated as such by the Ministry, the teachers of the school and the other houses . There was nothing like telling an eleven year old child that they were evil.'

As he left the castle, he squinted into the sunlight. 'A perfect day,' He thought sarcastically as he made his way to the quidditch pitch. 'And of course the ministry had to do something, they sure as Hades did nothing during the war, and what better way was there than disbanding Slytherin House altogether? And who better to do it than the last and final head of Slytherin?' Snape paused and looked over the crowd , his black eyes taking in the podium where the Minister of Magic was seated to one side with the golden trio on the other. Noting the gathered reporters as he made his way through the crowd, he smoothed his robe with his left hand one final time. 'One must look their best for the coming show for the show.'

Then he stopped and smirked at Potter , before turning to the Minister of Magic, letting the wand hidden in his sleeve slip into his hand.
