Kono Kalakaua went to Chicago with Adam on vacation. But when she gets caught in a fire at the hotel Adam and her are staying at Lt. Kelly Severide saves her life. During Kono's recovering she begins to have suspicions about the fire and who was behind it. Kelly helps Kono through the bad times. Over time they begin to fall for eachother.
