Disclaimer: I do not own Two Face, I do not own the number two, and I do not own that awesome coin. I do, however, own the characters of Nick and Nate, two random henchmen who needed names for the sake of clarity.
What's a madman to do when he kills more than two?
Two Face glared down at the bodies in the alleyway, the look on both of his faces scaring the living daylights out of both of his henchmen currently there. It didn't much help that he was flipping his famous coin in the air, muttering under his breath just loudly enough for the twins, Nick and Nate, to hear.
"Three... Three... Why three..."
Sure enough, three bodies were bleeding out onto the pavement. As anyone with two brain cells to rub together knew, Two Face did everything in twos - two faces, two bodies, twins for henchmen, double-barrelled gun, 50/50 flip of a coin... The guy was all about chance, about halves, about twos.
Threes didn't work.
Any other villain - Joker, for instance, though maybe not the best example - would have been completely fine with cutting their losses and heading back to their lair - in fact, they would be positively ecstatic that a "bonus kill" had snuck its way into their plan.
Not Two Face.
"Three, three..." he continued to mutter, further unnerving the twins nearby. "How to fix a three..."
"Can't he just... kill one more guy?" Nate whispered to his slightly more intelligent brother. "Make it four? That would work, right?"
Before Nick could respond, Two Face whirled around and stared at both of them.
"You make it sound so simple," the madman hissed, temper flaring. "Four doesn't work, you imbeciles. Yes, it is a multiple of two, but it doesn't fit with the plan. The Bat will know something's up if I do four. What to do..."
Nick and Nate, stupid as they may have been, didn't fail to catch the insult. However, the had realized very recently - the death of one of their 'co-workers', per se, calling it to their attention - that reacting negatively to an insult from the boss was not a good idea. It was best to just let him work it out on his own. No suggestions, no comments, just silence. They forgot on occasion, but one outburst from the man was enough to remind them both.
After several tense minutes, a grin spread across Two Face's scarred, disfigured face. The twins knew that face. That was his idea face.
"Two to the twenty-second power..." he said slowly, his grin growing, stretching the remaining skin of his face taught.
"Oh boys!" he said jovially, flipping his coin a final time, high up into the air, before catching it and twirling it between his fingers. Nick and Nate straightened up, turning their attention back to the madman and trying not to show their fear.
"Do you have February second free?"

Just kind of felt like writing about Two Face and the number two. I like the number two.
