Disclaimer: NOT + MINE = DON'T SUE
A/N: Just a little something I found in my notebook. It was actually kind of a funny experience because I knew I had written it but it was no ware on my computer. It kind of took on a life of its own in transit. Hope you enjoy. Tell me what you think.

Bang
By: Katie Todd
The silver haired agent pulled out his gun as soon as he pushed through his front door. A clattering and clanging hit his ears as soon as a shrill yelp penetrated them. They were the obvious sounds of a struggle. His boots tore the carpet of his living room as he raced to the kitchen. He threw himself through the small entry way banging his shin against the door frame as he scooted around the island.
His face almost split into a smile once the terror slipped off of it. Oxygen dove into his lungs as he took in the picture in front of him, he fought down a chuckle. Clicking the safety back on his gun, he threw it in the kitchen drawer it was kept in while he was at home, he locked it and then turned to help his wife. She was sitting on their kitchen's tile floor, a tall stack of metal pots and pans covered the tile under her, resembling what the remains of the tower of pizza would look like. She looked up at him with big brown eyes as she struggled to stand up, a wide, metal bowl in one hand and a tall, wooden spoon in the other.
A worn hand reached down to help her when he felt a soft weight crash against the back of his legs. The former marine swung around with a growl and swung the now giggling girl up in his arms. Her soft brown hair bounced as her laughter bubbled to fill her azure eyes. Pale pink lips pouted into a fishy face as she smacked a kiss against Gibbs's cheek with a soft 'mmmuaw'.
"Daeeee" she sang happily as she patted his starch work shirt with tiny, sticky hands, "mommy and me made cookies." She smiled as her dad brushed flour off her cheeks.
"You did?" he asked in a coo, receiving a bright smile and an assured nod in return.
"Mommy made the bowls go bang" the small girl sang as she clapped her hands together and twisted around in her father's arms to see her mom.
"She did?" Gibbs asked as he playfully raised his eyebrows towards a now blushing Kate.
"I did?" Kate asked her daughter as she playfully tickled her stomach. Gibbs bounced the girl ,flying her above his head to help her escape the tickle fight.
He settled her back in his arms and dropped a building kiss on his wife's peach lips.
"You wanna help mommy finish?" he asked the excited girl. When she nodded he swung her back to the ground and filled her waiting hands with a scuffed bowl.
The toddler expertly fit it in a wooden cabinet under the stove before taking another one from her father. The love in the room was apparent in a wonderful array of different ways and as Gibbs swung his daughter back into his arms and emptied the oven of its chocolaty concoction he knew that life couldn't get better than this.
A/N: Well…
