Alice snapped out of her trance

A/N: yes I know this is not accurate, because Alice had nothing to do with telling Edward about Bella falling. I just wanted to put my own spin on it. Besides I liked the idea of Alaskan cold and Alice and Jasper being there.

--

Alice snapped out of her trance. "Oh no." She whispered, putting her hands on her head.

"What is it?" Jasper flew to her side and put his arm around her.

"Bella." She whispered.

"What!?" Edward's head jerked up so fast from reading the paper, one would think it would snap off.

"She fell." Alice whispered to Jasper, burrying her head in his shoulder and holding him tightly.

Edward was at her side in an instant. "Tell me what happened Alice. I need to know."

Alice shook her head. "No Edward." Her voice was muffled because she w as still clinging to Jasper, but Edward heard her perfectly.

"Alice please. I need to know." His voice started to get choked up. "Please." Edward sounded so helpless.

Alice lifted her head from Jasper's shoulder, her topaz eyes full of sorrow. "Bella, she," she paused for a second, swallowing hard. "She fell."

"She what?"

"She jumped off a cliff. Her life when blank to me after that." Her voice was barley a whisper, but the pain was clear.

Edward couldn't breath. He felt like his lungs colapsed, and could feel his throat closing in. "Bella," he whispered, his voice hoarse. "No." he got up and ran from the room. He needed to get out. These walls couldn't contain him anymore.

"Bella!" Edward screamed, busting out the doors. His words were a faint echo in the blistering cold blizzard Alaska was in the middle of. Edward didn't even notice the cold as he stood out there. He hardly gave it a second glance.

Bella, dead. Because of him.

"My love what have I done to you?" He sank to the ground, his heart heavy. His eyes were closed, his face lifted to the sky. One word was on his lips – Bella.

Jasper and Alice watched Edward from inside the cabin.

'Should I go get him? help him out?" Jasper asked hesitantly.

""No," Alice said gently but firmly. "I don't think even you could calm this hurt."
