Reunited
Standing in the parking lot
Staring at the moon
Hoping that you're okay
and wishing you'll be home soon.
Tonks had just finished shopping the muggle way when she was hit with a wave of sadness. She glanced up, focusing on the full moon, knowing Remus would be looking at the same one. She wished that the stupid war would end so he could be home with her and the baby.
Standing in the sinking sands,
Staring at the moon
tired of all these battles
wanting to be home with you.
Remus stood in the area outside of the wards. Being a werewolf, he was always on the run from Greyback and the lot. He felt odd, and looked up, realizing it was a full moon. He is tired of running, of fighting, of transforming out in the woods. He wished he was home with Tonks, she would always take care of home.
Standing in the kitchen window
staring at the stars
Missing you, loving you,
waiting only for you.
Tonks stood in the window, counting the stars. The baby, Teddy she called him, just settled down to sleep. She wished Remus could spend time with his son, not knowing when the three would meet again. She missed her husband terribly, but knew he was safer wherever he was. She loved him too much for him to risk himself for her, but she's patient, she can wait.
Standing in the battle camps
glancing at the sun
one last battle, one last spell
coming home to you soon.
It was hot, too hot for May. The battle had begun, and the sun beat down on him. He ran, slashing death eaters and saving children from a terrible fate. "Lupin" , a voice growled. Remus spun, only to see a purple light speeding at him.
His last thoughts were of his family, who he loved so much.
Standing in the graveyard,
tears drizzling down my face.
My hero came home to me,
but he came home too late.
She had gotten the news from Harry himself. Remus saved many souls, and gave his own. Today was the day she was burying him, the day she had to say goodbye. Tears dripped off her cheeks onto the soft ground. Remus was home, Remus was safe.
"I love you."
Sitting in the rocking chair
staring at the moon
I've waited these long hundred years,
coming home to you.
After he had gone, Tonks began living for her son, the only thing left of Remus. Her boy, who now was a father, and a grandfather. Her son, who looked so much like Remus, despite being a metamorphmagus. A century had passed, and now she was staring at the same moon, knowing it was time for her to meet Remus again.
