A Tombstone

Here lies a man who was never well-known

He lived out his days in the dark, all alone

His music, his genius, they never did see

His beauty, well-hidden, known only by me

You may never have heard of any such man,

but imagine him with me today, if you can.

His power, his glory, his wonder, his grace-

Forever eclipsed by his misshapen face.

I looked pass the horror, I saw deep within,

I recognized, truly, the greatest of men.

Such a person may not be familiar to you

A love such as ours perhaps you never knew.

But, pray, take to heart what you've read here today

And let not his story, his love fade away.
