Erin pulled her phone out of her pocket one more time to check the time. 11:30. Everyone else in the house had been asleep for at least an hour, but she couldn't seem to sleep tonight. She got out of bed and walked as quietly through her house as possible. She grabbed her jacket and pulled it on, stuffing her phone into her jacket pocket. After making sure she had her house key, she snuck out the back door. With no particular destination in mind, she started walking.

Ten minutes later she found herself standing outside GameStop. She pushed the door open and walked inside. She took a quick look around, noticing only one worker and one boy looking around the store. It appeared as though neither of them had noticed her come in.

She soon found herself looking through the Xbox games. She wasn't looking for anything in particular; she hadn't brought any money with her anyways. She made her way down the shelves of games, pausing occasionally to look at game cases. Just as she went to reach for the Skyrim case, she felt a hand bump against hers.
"Oh, excuse me." She murmured, just as a voice mimicked her sentence. Looking up, her hazel eyes met chocolate ones. "I'm so sorry." She said to him, taking her hand off the game.

The boy smiled down at her. "Oh, no, it's fine. You can take it."

"No, really," She mumbled, "I don't have any money with me anyways. I was just looking around."

The boy chuckled softly. "Oh, me too. I didn't think to grab my wallet before I left the house. I just needed to get out."

Erin looked up at him, "Me too!" She smiled, "I couldn't sleep so I decided to go for a walk and I ended up here." Then she pulled out her phone to check the time again. Midnight. "I should probably be getting home though."

"Yeah, I should too. Oh, I'm Luke, by the way."

"Nice to meet you, Luke. I'm Erin." They shook hands then she started to walk away.

Before she could get too far, Luke called after her, "Erin, wait," Erin turned around so she was facing him again then he finished, "Let me walk you home?"

Erin thought about it for a second before she replied. "Yeah, sure." Luke smiled again. After he caught up to her, they walked out of the store. They started walking, their conversation ranging between many different topics. They found out they had quite a few things in common, like favourite movies and games.
Somewhere around ten minutes after they'd left the store, Erin stopped. "Welp, this is my street." Luke stopped alongside her.

"No way, this is my street too."

Erin looked up at him. "Are you serious?"

Luke looked down to her and laughed. "Yes, I'm serious." He pointed to one of the houses. "I live right there."

Erin's gaze followed Luke's hand, then her own hand pointed at a house a few houses down from the one he'd just pointed at. "And I live right there."

"Wow," Luke said as seen where she was pointing. "I can't believe we've never met."
Erin laughed. "Yeah, no kidding." She started walking again. "Come on."

They stopped at Erin's house first. Luke walked her to the door. Erin pulled out her key and was about to open the door when she felt Luke's hand on her arm. As she turned to face him, he leaned down and kissed her cheek. "I'll see you tomorrow?"

Erin turned back to the door as she felt her face heat up. "Uh, yeah, sure."
Luke smiled. "Great." Then he walked away and down the street to his own house.
Erin unlocked her door and quietly walked back to her bedroom and got back in bed. She laid there for ten minutes thinking about tonight before she finally fell asleep.
