This is my story, there are many like it but this is mine.
Hey, I am jumping onto the bandwagon for "Legendary Champions". This is my take of that idea, enjoy.
Edit:Currently going through and slowly rewriting the chapters to my current standard.
Dean was leaning on a lamp post as the rain poured down onto the dark and miserable city. He currently had one foot resting on a lamp post while the other was on the ground holding his weight. The rain was not getting any lighter anytime soon, Mother Nature showed the world this by lighting up the sky with beautifully powerful lightning strikes. Dean looked up, into the black swirling void above him, causing his rain drenched hoodie to fall back and show his face to the sky. His fair complexioned face was slightly tanned from spending too many days wandering the streets at day. He also had bright green eyes and honey blonde hair with slight blonde stubble growing out on his jaw. He stood at a proud 190 centimetres (6 feet 2 inches) and wore very bland and dark clothes, not wanting to stand out to much in the city at night.
He put the hoodie back over his face to stop water getting into the rest of his clothes, but realised that his efforts were pointless, he was standing in the rain after all. He pushed off the lamp post and started his nightly random wander around the city; there isn't much else to do when you're homeless, sleeping was out of the question. There weren't many people walking down the streets at night, with every citizen and tourist being told not to venture outside at night time. The thriving city changed into one of the most dangerous cities in Hoenn at night.
Amidst his aimless wander he came across some thugs, not doing much just wandering like him, they had not done anything, yet. He decided to follow them, not trusting them one bit and expecting them to do something illegal and stupid any minute now. It wasn't hard to follow them and it wasn't hard to avoid being seen so Dean just kept to the shadows, hoping that the night will pass uneventfully, it didn't.
Dean had seen the woman a couple times during the past weeks and she always seemed to be staring at him, it was creepy and weird so he normally looked away to avoid further akwardness. But now here she was, walking down a street in the dead of night amidst heavy rain. She must not be very bright if she were doing this at this time, and the worst part was the thugs had spotted her as well and were now following her. She appeared to have spotted the thugs and was trying her best to avoid them, walking down an alleyway and hoping they won't follow her, but they did and they were honing in now.
Dean swore under his breath, he couldn't do much against thugs but he also couldn't let them do anything to the woman, not being musclier was also a problem and underweight was another, both advantages of being homeless. He sighed deeply thinking over his options, the police weren't one and there wasn't anyone else in sight and if he left her she might not even see the light of day tomorrow. Mentally flipping a coin he decided it was best to play hero, not wanting to think about what would happen if he dosnt.
The thugs had closed in on the woman, surrounding her like a trapped fish in a barrel because the alleyway had led to a dead end, this was not going her way anytime soon. The group of 6 thugs stopped a few metres away from her, admiring their prey, they were having fun tonight. The largest of the group, probably being the leader stepped out from the group and started to speak to the woman.
"Oh don't be sad baby, we won't kill you, all we want is a little bit of fun, and an alive body is a lot more fun than a dead one." He leaned in and sniffed her, while smiling wickedly and the rest of the group laughing at her, they all knew that there was only one way she was getting out of this alleyway, and that was through an ambulance.
The leader started to approach her, malicious intent evident in his crimson eyes. He knew she couldn't resist whatever he or his boys wished to do, she was at his mercy. With that he practically ripped off her expensive looking shirt, and went to rip off other pieces of clothing but stopped when he heard a heavy thud from behind. Annoyed he turned around expecting one of his underlings to have done something stupid, instead the thug at the rear was face down in a puddle of his own blood, it was seeping from a stab wound on his back. The thugs and the boss were went into high alert, whoever attacked them did not know who they were, and anyone who did would have stayed a good block and a half away from them. They looked around to try and find the culprit, but the rain and shadows made it hard to pinpoint anything, the only reason he could even see his posse was because they were so close to him.
Dean knew he had spooked them and they wouldn't go back to what they were doing until they found him, good. He stuck to the shadows reading the knife he took from the dead thugs body, the same he used to stab the oblivious oaf. He was currently behind a dumpster while the group franticly tried to search for him, searching the shadows for any evidence of the killer. He was currently to the right of the main group, but he knew he couldn't get to the leader unless he took out the other thugs first. He sighed any pulled out his ancient mp3 player, if he was going to die he was dying to the song he loved most.
The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army (The Glitch Mob Remix) starts to play.
He got out of hiding and drew the attention of the thugs by throwing a rock at them.
I'm gonna fight 'em off
A seven nation army couldn't hold me back
Three of the four thugs rushed at Dean, with only one standing back, taking out a gun.
They're gonna rip it off
Taking their time right behind my back
Dean dodged the first fist that came at him and stabbed the attacker in his left side, he crumpled to the ground.
And I'm talking to myself at night
Because I can't forget
Dean got cut badly on his right arm by a knife wielding thug that had attacked from behind; he then turned and elbowed the thug in the temple with his left arm, hearing a painful crack.
Back and forth through my mind
Behind a cigarette
Only two of the thugs remained, one charging straight at him while the other was trying to take aim at him and not hit his comrades.
And the message coming from my eyes
Says leave it alone
As the beat dropped Dean managed to dodge almost the entire barrage of another knife wielding thug, with dean landing a lucky slice on the side of his face. The thug paused and put his hand to his face, feeling the blood flowing down is face, all it did was make him angrier.
Don't want to hear about it
Every single one's got a story to tell
The thug went into a frenzy, aiming to take down Dean as fast as possible now, neglecting his own safety. Dean had saw an opening after a particularly close call and stabbed through his jaw and into his brain, twisting the knife for good measure.
Everyone knows about it
From the Queen of England to the hounds of hell
Only the gun thug and the leader remained, the latter enjoying this and being slightly impressed.
And if I catch it coming back my way
I'm gonna serve it to you
Dean rushed at the remaining thug, somehow with the grace of Arceus dodging most of the bullets, one managed to hit his left arm, disabling it and another skimmed the right side of his stomach.
And that ain't what you want to hear
But that's what I'll do
Luckily he was right handed and continued his rush at the thug, the terror in his eyes showing how scared he truly was, Dean was taking a sick joy from this.
And a feeling coming from my bones
Says find a home
Dropping the last thug with a knife to the neck he turned around to see the leader smiling wickedly, he pulled out a bowie knife, much larger than his and a gun. There was no way Dean was winning this now.
I'm going to Wichita
Far from this opera forevermore
The leader started by taking a pot shot at dean while rushing at him, intending for him to dodge it and be on the ground for an easy kill.
I'm gonna work this job
Make the sweat drip out of every pore
Time seemed to slow for Dean, if only by a small amount it was still enough for him to get his head in the game. He seemed somewhat refreshed once it ended.
And I'm bleeding, and I'm bleeding, and I'm bleeding
Right before the lord
After a quick scuffle the leader had a few cuts, non serious while Dean was bleeding badly, defying gravity by remaining standing.
All the words are gonna bleed from me
And I will think no more
Dean gave up and rushed the leader, something he had not counted on, he managed to raise his gun and shoot but the impact of the bullet did nothing to stop the teen.
And the stains coming from my blood
tell me "go back home"
Dean had stabbed the leader in the chest, pulling it out and then planting the knife into his neck. The older man died with a smile on his face.
Song ends.
Dean looked at the woman who was now on the ground cowering in fear, he limped over to her and picked up the ruined shirt and gave it to her, he turned to walk away but his fight caught up with him and he collapsed face first onto the now blood stained concrete.
