Author note: I love this song and I felt inspired one night while listening to this song to actually write something. Write in like 5 minutes so please don't hate it too much.
He was sitting in the dark when she entered the Hanger. He did this quite often, but usually when he thought everyone had left or gone to bed. He would just there and...well sit there. He would barely move unless it was to fiddle with that locket with a picture of his sister, Karone and him. Ashley felt that it was her duty to be there for Andros.

She walked in and stood next to him. His eyes were kind of red, almost as if he were crying. They just stared at each other for awhile until he looked away. Ashley sat down in the chair next him. Ever since the first day she saw him she knew that he had trusting issues. She knew that his home planet was abandoned and at a young age his sister was kidnapped. She also knew that he was lonely. He was traveling in space by himself until they came along. She just wanted to be there for him even though she didn't know how.
They both sat in silence for a little longer before she stood up. She once again stood by his side. He made no movement at all. She started for the door and to call it a night. When she reached the door she stopped and looked back at Andros' frozen form. She walked back to him and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. She placed a light kiss on his cheek and whispered, "I'm not going to give up on you. I also want you to know that I'm here for you...when you need me. You're not alone anymore." She held him in her arms or what felt like a little too long. When she started to pull away, she felt him grab her hand and gently squeeze it. She looked down at him to catch the gentle smile he was offering her as well.
"Open the door. Show me your face tonight. I know its true no one heals me like you and you hold the key.

She started once again for her room thinking, of a song that she uses to sing all the time as a child. "I shall believe"...her favorite song by Sheryl Crow. It just seemed to fit. She knew things were going to change between her and Andros...she just didn't know when. But she knew...it would be worth the wait.
