Prologue: The Proud Father

" Please, come on Kagome you can do it!" Sango encouraged the laboring Kagome. She was panting and groaning. Sango and old Kedea were comforting poor Kagome. The little kitsune Shippo was wiping the sweat of her brow and Miroku was limping around nervously, due to his broken leg. Everyone was there except the one person who should be there; Kagome's stubborn, hotheaded but oh so wonderful love and soul mate Inuyasha. Miroku's pacing was starting to annoy Sango and she shot him a glare.
"Relax Miroku. You're going to strain your leg even more if you keep that up."
" I cant Sango. She's in pain so how am I supposed to relax?" The demon slayer shook her head and motioned him to sit down. He huffed and sat down beside her. Kagome was still panting and gritting her teeth. Miroku was getting worried.
" Sango she's in pain and he's nowhere to be found." Just then, the hotheaded hanyou Inuyasha himself burst in with a tub of steaming hot water.
" Here's the hot…water…you asked for…"he panted. "What took you so long?" Shippo commented. Inuyasha glared at the little kitsune but turned his full attention to the frantic girl. She let out a painful whimper as the hanyou grasped her shaking hand.
"Inuyasha…" she whimpered then gritted her teeth again.
"Kagome you're so strong, my love, my angel." The hanyou whispered to her. She almost crushed Inuyasha's hand from her squeezing.
" it coming, good Kagome push harder!" Keadea urged. The miko's painful screams echoed through Inuyasha's ears, breaking his heart. He promised that she would never suffer or be in pain again and yet he was helpless to stop her pain now. Many exhaustingly, painfully long minutes later; her labor was almost over.
"It's almost over dear, push harder." Inuyasha encouraged. She let out one last agony filled scream then it was all over. Keadea took the newborn and cleaned it in the hot water.
" Well done my love. Kagome you did it." Kagome looked up at the hanyou of her dreams and smiled an exhausted smile. Her breathing was heavy and still labored.
"Here ye are. Your new baby girl!" The old priestess handed the infant to the couple. Kagome held her newborn in her shaking arms and Inuyasha stared down in amazement. He was in awe of this woman, whom he loved more then anything in this world, and show strong and beautiful she was.
" My little girl," Kagome whispered and looked up at the new father. She handed the whining child to him. He looked down at his new baby girl and smiled. This was happiest day of his long life.
"she has your ears Inuyasha," the little girl opened her eyes to reveal identical eyes. " and she has your eyes."
"yes but she has your beauty." He kissed her cheek.
But then through the door came in a very tall, familiar face. It was Inuyasha's older brother Sesshomaru and a much taller Rin. He was panting and then looked up to get odd faces from everyone in the room.
" Are we late?… what?" Rin peeked from behind the yokie.
" Yeah but you're just in time to see my new baby girl, brother!" The hanyou turned and faced his older demon brother. The shock and pride came onto Sesshomaru all at once. Rin's eyes widened and immedently went over to the babe.
" Wow! She so beautiful!!" Rin squeaked. They all laughed. Rin went over to Kagome and comforted her. Inuyasha handed the baby to Kagome and walked over to Sesshomaru. Without warning, the older yokai put his only remaining hand on his little brothers shoulder and calmly said.
"Im happy for you brother." Inuyasha smiled but Shippo and Rin interrupted the brotherly moment.
"What's her name?!" they both asked. The proud fatherly hanyou looked at his bride and said.
"Her name is Arisa."
