Kendall stood in the empty Palm Woods elevator, the one where he and Lucy had previously kissed. He sighed, thinking about Lucy again, with her red streaks and her style and her smile and her wit and her... everything. He missed the way they could share a laugh together, or how he could talk to her about anything without her judging him, or the way she would kiss his cheek and wink at him; he missed her.
The elevator doors dinged and slid open, as Kendall shoved his hands in his jean pockets and walked into apartment 2J. He walked over to the orange couches and plopped himself down, lying down with his hands under his head. He shut his eyes and started thinking about Lucy, the only thing on his mind right now. His mind was replaying memories he shared with Lucy. The one that kept replaying in his head was when he and the boys sang Cover Girl with Lucy next to him.
"You're my cover, cover girl" he whispered, the memory repeating in his head. Why did Jo have to come back at the worst possible time? He sighed, thinking about Jo. They had no chemistry anymore, he didn't even know why he had picked Jo over Lucy. Kendall sighed, wishing that he could have his Lucy back. There was one thing; she wasn't HIS Lucy anymore; she was Lucy Stone, the new princess of the music industry. He sighed, wishing he could reverse time and pick Lucy instead of Jo. It was the biggest mistake of his life.
He heard a small knock on the door. Sighing again and running his hands through his hair, he got up and answered the door. It was Jo.
"Hey" she smiled, skipping inside. She pulled his lips on hers, Jo smiling into the kiss. Kendall felt no spark whatsoever.
"Hey, we need to talk" Kendall said, sitting down and patting the space next to him. She sat down and smiled.
"What's up?" She said.
"Look, I made a mistake that day when I chose you. Sure, we promised to wait, but that was a long time ago Jo. I have feelings for Lucy, I think I love her. I never loved you as much as I love her, I'm sorry. I hope we can still be friends, but dating is just not right. There's no spark" Kendall choked out with his eyes closed. He opened his eyes and saw Jo smiling.
"Thank god. That's what I came to talk to you about" she said.
"Really? Oh, that was easy" He got up and hugged Jo, before walking out of 2J with his guitar and a vase of flowers. He knew one thing; he needed to get Lucy back.
He walked to the elevator and quickly punched the button with the number 3 on it. He waited patiently as it rode up a level. The door slid open and he picked up his pace, walking to apartment 3B. He put the flowers down in front of him and out the guitar strap over his shoulders, as he started to strum Cover Girl.

Lucy walked out of the door tears filled in her eyes and a big smile plastered on her face. Kendall grabbed her waist and pulled her into a soft passionate kiss.
"I love you Kendall Knight" Lucy said
"I love you Lucy Stone" Kendall said. He grabbed her waist again and pulled her into a kiss. Sparks flew everywhere. It was, perfect. Lucy found the love of her love and so did Kendall; his cover girl.
