Rose sat outside the TARDIS with her new guitar. It was a black steel string with a little engraving on the side that said "Rose and Doctor". When she was younger, she used to play the guitar whenever she got the chance; though her mother could never afford one for her to own, so she would go to guitar lessons that didn't require your own guitar and play her friends or her mother's friend's guitars. She soon became a natural pro but like earlier, her mother just couldn't afford it.
They were currently in 2013, her and the Doctor. It was quiet and dark, about three in the morning alone next to a water fountain. They were back on Earth but Rose couldn't be bothered finding out where on Earth. America? Australia? Does it really matter anymore?
Rose was strumming on her guitar. The Doctor brought her one after seeing her mother mentioned that Rose used to play. She never really told anyone that she played as she grew older, she didn't seem to mention it anymore since she's never owned one and plus, she got a job, a boyfriend and met the Doctor. The Doctor had completely changed her life. She's been to worlds you could only imagine and defeated monsters you don't hear in stories. She life was basically a child's dream wanting to come true.
"Living in a fantasy with no meaning,
it's not okay,
I don't feel safe,
I need to pray." Rose sung. Rose used to sing just one song a lot when she was younger. She loved Anastacia, and her song Left Out Side Alone, it was one of her favourites to play. She didn't know why at the time, why it was her favourite for so many years. Now she understood why she would feel so powerful when she sang, played or heard the song. She left like it. She understands the meaning to the song but the lyrics "And I wonder if you know,
how it really feels,
to be left outside alone,
when it's cold out here,
maybe you should know,
how it really feels,
to be left outside alone."
The sun started to rise as Rose kept singing. A couple of morning joggers/runners/walkers stopped by and told Rose that she was good at playing and singing and that she should be with a record label. Rose laughed and thanked them before they went off. Some people even gave them money. The sun was out and people were standing around Rose as she played all kinds of songs that she knew. People suggested some songs that she knew and didn't know and some danced around her. She hadn't seen the Doctor yet, but she kind of hoped that he wouldn't see her but then she hoped that she did.
Rose finished the song session with Celebrity Status by Mariana's Trench as people started to go. She had some pictures taken of her and one person recorded the songs she sang on their phone. Rose smiled and started to pack up her guitar. She sat for a moment and took a breather when a shadow went over her.
"May I have your autograph?" A deep voice said. Rose laughed and looked at the doctor who was holding a piece of paper and a sharpie marker. Rose took the paper which turned out to be a photo of them both as they started their adventures. Rose signed and photograph and gave it back to the Doctor. He smiled and gave her a hug.
"Off to a new planet?" The Doctor asked. He held out his hand and she took it, nodding.
"To a new adventure."
