Hey HP fans!

I'm a big HP fan, but I haven't done a HP fanfic in forever… I've been extremely obsessed with Twilight. I found this old one-shot on my computer. I think I wrote it right after the last book came out. Basically, it's just what I imagined happened when Lupin told Tonks that he was leaving.

Disclaimer: I don't own HP… HP owns me!

"So this is what it comes down to, isn't it?" Tonks shook with the anger and sadness that was spreading through her body. She looked over her mug of now lukewarm tea at her husband, Remus Lupin. Tea usually calmed Tonks down in times of uncertainty, but it wasn't calming her at all.

"I'm so sorry," he began. Tonks always thought that this time period of her life would be the most joyous time, but it was starting to become the worst.

"Sorry? You're sorry?" she replied with an increasing feeling of spite. "You're leaving me AND our unborn child, and all you are is sorry?!" She pushed out her chair and got up. "Sorry was okay when you said you couldn't love me because you were a werewolf, and sorry was okay when my wedding had to be secret and underground. But sorry will not cut it in this situation!"

Remus simply shook his head. "I know you don't think it's enough, but it's going to have to be. Harry needs me right now. He's alone, and I'm really worried that he won't make the best decisions."

Tonks fumed even more than she already was. "Harry needs you?" she yelled at him. "What about me? What about the woman you promised to always care for and love, no matter what happened?"

He just stared at her. "It's—it's—it's just different, okay?" he stumbled.

Tonks just shook her head. Words were beyond her now. Instead, she broke down into intense and earth-shaking sobs. Her shoulders slumped over, she pulled her knees to her chest, and she let out all of the frustration and disappointment that raked her body into her tears. She wasn't sure how long she sat like that—it could have been a few minutes, but it could have also been a few cloudy, wet days.

All she knew, though, is that he was gone.
