None, One, and Countless

Kai looked out the window at the rain, ignoring Tyson's shouts. "Hey, are you listening to me?" bellowed Tyson. Kai yawned. Tyson growled at the 'answer'. "No wonder you don't have any friends, Kai! You're to damn stuck up and arrogant!" Kai got up from the chair. "I'm going out." With that, Kai walked out the door.

Ray got up and quickly followed. He caught up with Kai, soaked with rain already though he had only taken about five steps. "Watch it, Ray. You can't be sick for the next tournament. Actually, missing one weakling wouldn't really effect the outcome of your 'team'." "But, Kai, it's your team too." Kai shrugged. "Not really. A team has team mates, you all are just weights dragging me down on the ladder of power."

"But, Kai...you shouldn't say that!" "And why not?" "Because we're friends!" "I have no friends." Ray's mouth opened slightly, not knowing what to say as they walked. "How can you live without friends...?" he wondered. He certainly wouldn't be able to. "I have none, one, and a countless number of friends." "How can you have only one friend, and have a countless number?" "Follow me."

Kai turned from the sidewalk and went into an abandoned theme park. "Kai..." "I found this the first time I went to Tyson's dojo. You're the first person to have ever seen it since it shut down; besides me, of course." "Surely other people have seen it..." "If there is no way of entertainment, or is pointless, people do not even notice it." Kai walked into a building. Ray followed quickly.

Kai was standing in the middle of a room. Instead of walls, it had many, many mirrors. In each mirror stood a smirking Kai. Dozens of Kais turned to face Ray.

"These are my friends."
