Fred in Heaven
A/N- I don't own anything, yadda yadda. Also, this is something I randomly found on my laptop, so I really don't know what to do with it. Help me, please?
Water lapped at Fred's toes, and she giggled. She had been sitting on this dock for what seemed like hours, yet she never got bored. There was always something to be remarked upon, whether it was the way the late afternoon sun danced across the treetops, or the way the wood off the dock felt against Fred's fingertips. Everything was wonderful and she couldn't help but smile, her entire being filled with delight. She didn't know why she was so happy, but she was, so there was no use speculating.
Then, suddenly, a cat appeared suddenly on Fred's right side, her tail lazily waving from side to side.
"Hello Ms. Kitty Fantastico." Fred said, scratching her between her ears in that place where cats keep their souls. Purring rather loudly, Ms. Kitty rubbed her face along Fred's side, eventually worming her way onto her lap. Fred giggled again, and then looking at her watch, she gasped.
"Oh! Ms. Kitty! It's almost dinner time!" Ms. Kitty meowed indignantly, butting her head against Fred's stomach. Smiling, Fred picked her up and put her over her shoulder.
"Come on. I'll open some tuna for you. Surely Tara wouldn't object to you eating some extra tuna." Ms. Kitty meowed again, this time happy at the thought of seeing Tara, and eating tuna.
"Okay, hold on tight!" Fred then shut her eyes, and concentrated. Then, with a whoosh of air, they found themselves in the living room of a log cabin, it's cozy interior smelling like pine and home-cooked meals.
"Tara! Tara, where are you?" Fred called, setting Ms. Kitty down on the ground.
"I'm in here! And by the way, dinner's almost ready! Is Ms. Kitty inside?"
"Yeah, I brought her in, she was sitting with me on the dock." And in that instant Tara walked in from the adjoining kitchen, bringing a cloud of familiar delicious smells with her that made Fred's mouth water.
"Is tonight Taco Night?" Tara looked at her, puzzled.
"It's Tuesday, isn't it?"
"Yes..."
"Then it's Taco Night!" Fred smiled and launched herself at the other woman, hugging her.
"I'm glad you're here Tara." Fred said, burying her face in Tara's sweater. Laughing, Tara hugged her back.
"I'm glad I'm here too sweetie. Oh, and Anya and Joyce are stopping by later. And then tomorrow Jenny and Kendra invited us over to their place for a party." Fred pulled away, her eyebrows knitted together.
"Did all of this happen while I was gone?" Tara smiled.
"You were gone for some time, Fred. That's why I sent Ms. Kitty Fantastico to check up on you." Fred laughed and went into the kitchen.
"Yeah, sorry. I was just... y'know. Having a moment." Leaning against the doorframe, Tara watched Fred pile her plate with food, and she felt her heart fill with unprecedented affection towards the thin brunette.
"Yeah, I do know."
