Written for the Drabble Prompts challenge held by the darling sleepy queens and using the prompt 'shadows'.

I don't own K Project. (But I wish I did.)

Being part of HOMRA meant that you spent most of your time in the shadows. You popped out of the darkness, beat up a few brutes, and then immediately covered yourself back in darkness and the fear of the unknown.

HOMRA didn't mean that you spent all your time fighting in public places. It didn't mean that you weren't sly or cunning. Being part of HOMRA meant that you followed your King and followed his rules- although there were no rules, only orders that you do not dare disobey.

You worked in the shadows, in an old bar with whiskey and beer as your headquarters, and whenever something sparked your interest, you began to show yourself like a fire on a cold night.

You were HOMRA, and you were fire. You were clothed in shadows and uncertainty.
