This is just something that popped in my head before I went to sleep last night. Takes place right after "Cuffed" so there will be spoilers.

Disclaimer: I don't own Castle. ABC and Andrew Marlowe do. I also do not own the line I stuck in here or the Nikki Heat series.

Kate walked into her apartment and shut the door behind her. After hours of being handcuffed to Castle and then trying to escape a tiger, she was worn out. Tiredly, the detective headed to her bathroom to start the bathwater. Noticing a copy of one of Castle's books on her bathroom sink counter she flipped it open. She glanced at the pages for a moment before undressing and getting in the now hot water. After basking in the warmth of the bath, she grabbed for the book she had put down earlier. As she read about Nikki and Rook, her mind wandered to what Castle had said to her before they left the precinct.

"I wouldn't mind being hitched with you." He had said. For some reason, she was unable to get that one phrase out of her mind. Oddly enough, she kept thinking about actually being married to Castle. If she were honest, she probably would not mind it. He did have a tendency to be a charmer when he wanted to be and she did love his family. Quickly, she brushed the thought from her mind before she went into a fantasy world. Noticing the bath water getting colder, Kate decided to finally get out. She wrapped a towel around her and drained the water before going in her room to grab pajamas. She crawled in her bed and opened her book back up. However, before she knew it she had fallen asleep dreaming about what her mind did not want to consciously think about: marrying Rick Castle.
