Stealing One Last Thing
Yamanaka Ino glared at the boy in front of her, her arms crossed. "You say you're going to disappear for good. You say that since Orochimaru and Itachi are gone, you'll leave us alone. You say you know you've done wrong."
"Yes," was all Uchiha Sasuke could say to the girl in front of him. "Yes."
"I say you're wrong." Ino glared hatefully at Sasuke "If not for Naruto and Sakura, I would kill you. But I have friends." She put emphasis on the word. "And I don't abandon them."
"Just what are you saying?" Sasuke growled.
"You…you're no better than a thief." Ino said coldly, turning her back on him, so she was facing in the direction of Konoha. "You stole my time, everyone's time. You stole Naruto and Sakura's trust. You stole Sakura's heart. You stole village pride. You stole the respect other villages had for Konoha. You almost stole my love. You stole our honor."
"So you say I'm a thief?" Sasuke drawled lazily. He didn't love her, but he could toy around with her. He was sure she still harbored a little feeling for him.
"You were always slow catching on," Ino snarled.
"Fine. Then I won't feel that guilty about stealing one last thing." Sasuke smirked. He walked up to her.
"Uchiha, you-" Her retort was cut short when Sasuke turned her around and kissed her. To his surprise, she immediately pulled away and in a single fluid move, had a kunai up to his throat. "Touch me again, you die. Uchiha." She whirled away and threw a single kunai back as a warning.
It hit him.
In the chest.
Straight at his heart.
It hurt so much.
It felt so right.
To both of them.
