Derpy and Dr. Hooves's Awkward Encounter

I'm embracing romance. . Enjoy this one-shot.

Derpy happily trotted towards Sugar Cube Corner, the local bakery. A large grin was on her face, along with happy, shining eyes.

She approached Sugar Cube Corner.

Ms. Cake and Pinkie Pie were at the front desk. Pinkie held a spreading knife, which had a whip of pink frosting on it. A container of pink frosting was on the counter beside her. She seemed to be frosting a cupcake. (Not that kind)

Derpy opened the door, and strolled into the building.

"Hi, Ditzy!" Pinkie exclaimed.

"You can call me Derpy. Every pony does." Derpy replied a bit sad, but not depressed.

"Oh. Hi Derpy!" Pinkie yelled again. Derpy giggled.

"Do you have any more of those muffins you got a shipment of? The blueberry ones?" Derpy asked, smiling from ear to ear.

Pinkie frowned.

"Sorry, Derpy. We don't. We just sold the last one." She said, feeling sorry for the Pegasus.

"Who has the last one?" Derpy asked, holding back tears.

Pinkie pointed at a brown earth pony, which was holding a muffin. Derpy eyeballed the pony.

The earth pony sat down at a bench nearby.

Derpy opened her wings, and took to flight. She flew over to the pony.

She could see that it was a colt.

He was holding the prized muffin in his right hoof, holding it out, looking at it.

Derpy sneaked over to him.

The pony took a bite. On the other side of the muffin, Derpy took a bite.

They both ate the muffin together, the colt not evening knowing about the derping mare.

Soon, their mouths touched.

Derpy's eyes went straight for the first time.

The colt, which Derpy now recognized,'s eyes dilated.

Derpy blushed, as well as the colt, whose name was Dr. Hooves.

Neither one of them moved away. They both just stayed in their accidental kiss.

Their eyes were now closed.

Dr. Hooves pulled away, smiling.

"H-hi.." Derpy said shyly, blushing awfully.

"Hello." Dr. Hooves replied.

Derpy frowned, and her voice grew dark.

"You stole my muffin." She stated.
