prompt: a dollhouse

Control

Tom Marvolo Riddle always kept his dollhouse neat and orderly.

It was a matter of fact that none of the dolls were ever to be near the cupboard in room 27.

And if Billy Stubbs' rabbit was to be hung from the rafters, Billy Stubbs would, of course, be on the other side of the building.

Mrs. Cole was always to be at the front. Never, never, where he was.

The dollhouse expands and expands, and when they are told they are to take a trip to the seaside, a cavern appears, hidden in the ocean spray.

He leads Amy Benson and Dennis Bishop to the cave by the sea and smiles.

(Because wouldn't that show them? Freak, they'd called me, when they were the freaks themselves for being so gullible. Wouldn't that just show them.)

When a most peculiar man appears out of thin air before his dollhouse, he watches in silence as he approaches room 27, highly tempted to move him far, far away.

But this man must be another freak that thinks Tom to be the freak, and if he is here to take Tom away from these imbeciles, he will allow him to.

Tom Marvolo Riddle leaves, and his dollhouse crumbles behind him.
