I am Jack Frost. I have to admit, my job can get very lonely at times, but I have someone to be there for me. She was an old friend, from when I was human. Her name is Jessica.
I was frosting a few pine cones, when I heard someone walking through the woods. Naturally I hid myself behind an old willow tree. Then I saw, what must have been the most beautiful girl I've seen. She was tall, with dark hair, beautiful light brown skin, and dark eyes. Her eye lashes were very long, and her hair was a mix of wavy and curly. I looked at her closer and saw she was holding a bow and arrow. It was a made of a light wood, and had engraving all over the front. She pulled an arrow out of the quiver, and shot perfectly, at a pine cone I forgot to frost. What really surprised me was, when the arrow hit the pine cone, it covered it in a swirly frost! She was like me! Wow! She smiled in pleasure at her work, and retrieved her arrow. Now was my chance! I walked (more like ran) to her, stumbling a bit. In shock, she pulled out an arrow, and aimed it at me. I stepped back, then she put her weapon down, but the arrow was still in the bow, ready to fire. "Hey, sorry didn't mean to scare you, Jessica".
"Do I know you?" she said, a hint of irritation in her voice.
I pulled out my staff and touched the willow tree, covering it in a difficult pattern. Her eyes widened, and she smiled a beautiful smile. "Jack!, oh my god! It's you!" She ran towards me, and I wrapped her in a hug. "I missed you!" I whispered in her ear.
We talk for a while, and I learn a lot about her I didn't know 300 years ago, when we were both human. "So, I don't remember anything after I died, do you?" I ask curious. She nods her head in confusion, and replies "nope, not a thing. I just remember waking up with a bow and arrow in my hands". Hmm, strange. I get a better look at her. You can clearly tell she's Hispanic. "How did you get so good, at shooting?" I ask, my hands shifting toward her bow. She tilts her head, giggling and sais "years of practice." I look at her, and I can't help it. I have loved her ever since I was a human. Then it hits me, she is the only thing I remember of my human years. "Jessica…" I say, inching my body towards her. She looks alarmed for a second, and then reaches towards me. Just Like that, were kissing. Her hands on my broad shoulders, mine on her face. The whole world blasts in an explosion of ice crystals, and frost, in my mind at least. We kiss for what seems like hours, finally we let go. I love her so much. I look at her and remember the times we had together ever since we were 11. I have known her for, god, how long? 369 years. Then right when I'm about to spill my heart out to her, another girl comes out from behind the trees. Then I notice it's my ex- girlfriend. It's Jessica younger sister. Oh god, here we go again….
