It was a rainy day in France, the rain bouncing on the obnoxiously loud roof of a certain apartment complex. To drown out the noise a certain couple is blaring "Tonight" as loud as possible.
A pink haired girl lays draped over the arm chair upside down watching her dark haired boyfriend fiddle uselessly with his radio.
"I give up!" William announces in exasperation "This pop-fodder isn't any better then the rain" with that the radio gets turned off.
"Hey William" Aelita calls out "I'm bored" she smiles. Aelita could occupy her time just fine but what the two needed was a distraction from this bleary weather.
"So?" William counters but his smirk says he's game for anything.
"So let's do something" Aelita says with a fake whine that makes them both laugh.
"Hmm" William says looking around the apartment "Tv?" he suggests and Aelita shakes her head.
"How about a board game?"
"they're called board games for a reason, BORING" Aelita protests and William chuckles "Yeah but that's not the reason Pink"
They spend a while bouncing ideas around when Aelita's stomach lets out a noise of protest and William grins.
"I know what we're going to do" he announces and Aelita's curiosity is genuinely peaked "What?"
"We're going to make some snacks" William thought for a minute "Jam-bakes" Aelita tilted her in confusion "Jam-what?"
"They're a type of sugar cookie made with strawberry jam, my mom taught me how to make them" he explains and Aelita busts up laughing at the thought of William in an apron making delicate little pastries.
William just rolls his eyes "C'mon Pink it's fun, i'll show you" Aelita recovered and joins William in the kitchen area.
"Alright, we'll need flour, baking powder, applesauce-" William startes gathering supplies when Aelita looks at him like he's insane "Applesauce?" William raises his eyebrows "Haven't you ever made sugar cookies before?"
"I thought we were making "jam-cakes" not sugar cookies" Aelita replies with sass, avoiding the question.
"Jam-bakes, and the base is a sugar cookies" William gets two bowls out of the cupboard.
"Ok, so what do I do?" Aelita asks "First we have to mix the salt, baking powder, flour, and cinnamon together in this bigger bowl" Aelita did what William explained but paused "Wait what about the sugar?"
"That's what the applesauce is for, don't you bake?" Aelita shrugs "Not unless it comes out of a box" William suppresses a smile "I'll show you
The rest of the process follows in the same fashion and soon the pair is waiting for the finished product to cool down.
Aelita takes the first bite "Mmmh, why don't you bake for me more often?" she teases William who wipes some flour off her cheek and gives her a quick peck causing her to punch him in the arm
"Hey! Is this the thanks I get?" William jokes
