Cry

(195 words)

She watched him as he left her, as he ran away from her, to the hateful clay copy of his former love. She wondered if he would bring back the dirt woman as a companion, to replace her. She wondered if he would leave her for good this time. She wondered if he would go to Hell with the empty dirt shell that claimed to be his first love.

And as she wondered, she cried. Because she would always wait for him, always stay by his side, never leave him or betray him the way he abandoned her. She tried to reassure herself that he would return, but she wasn't sure. She was never sure. After all, Kikyou was the one he loved. She was just the shard detector from the future, who cried every time he left her.

He returned. She cried. Tears of happiness, because he had come back. Tears of sadness because he hadn't come back for her. He would never come back for her.

She continued to cry. And when her tears dried up, she cried internally. And when she could no longer cry internally, her soul cried. It never ended.

A/N: Gosh, I'm on a roll today.

I wrote this during West and the World on a whim. Probobly because of the earlier Doctor Who drabble. I have no idea where it came from of why it's here, but here it is. Clearly, you can see that it focuses on Kagome, and how she view's InuYasha's feelings for her and the whole Kikyou situation. Since this is my first attempt at an InuYasha Fic, reviews would make me happy. 3

I challange any InuYasha writers to try writing something inspired by the word "Cry". If you do, let me know. I wanna see.

P.S. Maybe I'm on crack, but I'm pretty sure that under 200 words counts as a drabble. :P
