Thanks to buffyfan1992 for encouraging me to write and publish this fic. Reviews are appreciated! Especially without spoilers as I'm not done with the show quite yet. (Probably shouldn't have admitted that...)

Half-Sack doesn't believe in an eternity of anything being worth it. After all, how would you know if it turned out consistently good? There had to be a catch or something. There was always a catch to something that promised an eternal amount of anything. He thought, and still thinks, love at first sight was total bullshit. What if it wasn't as it seemed? Things changed before his eyes more than once, he wasn't gonna take any chances. Gambling when the stakes were too high wasn't, probably won't ever be, a good idea. He learned

Now that a beautiful woman, Cherry-and she even liked him back! He let the childish giddiness run through his veins for the briefest of moments before calming himself-was at stake, he wasn't risking shit.

Right here, right now, in this moment, Cherry was beautiful and real and pretty much close to perfect. He hesitated with the word perfect, but it felt…right here. As if branding her would keep her real.

Something, so tangible as having a steady girl like Cherry, as great as this doesn't come along all that often. So he'll at least remember to like her just a little bit more than he would any other girl.
