Spoilers: Twilight
Disclaimer: Don't own them
This one-shot was hard to write (type) because I have rope burnt fingers. In short there was a float, a horse and a lead rope. It is rather painfull!
Anthony DiNozzo lay awake in his bed, he didn't want to sleep. He didn't want to be awoken by the same reoccurring nightmare. Whenever he slept all he could see was her lying on the cold concrete on the rooftop with a bullet hole right in the middle of her forehead.
He got out of bed and quietly put some clothes on, being careful not to wake the woman in his bed, as it was only three thirty. He got in his car and drove to NCIS even though everybody in his team had been given a nonnegotiable fortnight off and daily counselling (which wasn't going so great as both he and Gibbs had been rather aggressive and arrogant towards the councillor).
When he got there he flashed his badge so the security guard let him in. He went straight to autopsy, he had to see her. As he opened the doors to autopsy he slowed his walk. He walked at this pace until he got to the draw he knew Caitlin was in.
He took a deep breath and held it as he pulled out the draw revealing a white sheet covering a body. He pulled back the sheet and starred at her. She had a newly stitched scar that stared at her belly button but when it got to her chest it divided in two each heading for a separate shoulder.
Even in death she looked attractive. He closed her open eyes at the same time with his thumbs. He stroked her hair with his tanned hands. Tears were slowly forming in his eyes and slowly running down his cheek. He looked at her scar it ran right next to a tattoo near her belly button. Her tattoo was a flower with a bee on it. Tony wiped away a tear while smiling slightly to himself. So it was true she did have a tattoo.
He stayed there with her until five, and then he left before anyone came in and found him there. That was the last time he saw her, as her funeral wasn't open casket. He didn't cry at her funeral nobody did except her mother, whom was one of the many people who came to see her off. The ex-president even came to thank her for keeping him alive when some many wanted him dead.
Tony promised her that he would visit her every week and bring flowers, which he did. Kate also got flowers from her other team-mates.
I want a farting toy.
RIP Caitlin Todd
