The flakes swirled and fell to the ground, accompanied by the soft sound of the wind, against a dark blue sky. For SeeU, this was a peculiar sight, and she reached out, jumping while trying to catch the flakes. She was like a little child trying to reach the stars.

"Yes! I got one!" Giving an exclamation of joy, SeeU finally caught one in the palm of her right hand. Opening it, she bore a shocked look when realizing that what she had caught had become a small puddle of water in her hand. The shock turned into sadness, as tears filled up her eyes, clouding her view.

"What are you doing?" a gentle, high-pitched voice said. Turning around, SeeU noticed a familiar, with turquoise hair tied up neatly in two very long pigtails, and with a parasol over her head.

"Ah, Miku!" she said, running towards the individual, stopping after standing right in front of her. "I caught a pretty crystal in the air, but when I opened my hand, it wasn't there!" she added, with an exclamation of sadness and shock merged together. To her confusion, Miku just giggled.

"It was a snowflake you caught, not a crystal. It melted inside your hand because they prefer to sway free in the cold air of the winter season." she said, explaining to the confused SeeU why the snowflake she caught had melted in her hand.

After a short pause of silence, SeeU took her bare hands, rubbing them together.

"Do snowflakes only appear during this time of the year?" she asked, still curious about the season of winter. A smiling Miku nodded as a reply, and then took the younger girl's left hand.

"I think it's time to go inside. You might become ill if you are out for too long without your coat." she said, SeeU nodding quietly as a response.

And thus, both of the girls started to slowly walk back to their cottage. SeeU stopped for a bit, turned her head around, smiling as she looked back at the pure white snowflakes, having only one thought echoing in her head as her ash blonde hair waved in the soft wind.

"Maybe I can play with them tomorrow again."
