A/N: The last of the drabbles that I had yet to put upon this lovely site. Enjoy!

Yeah, no... Still don't own my fandom, sorry.

Stars littered the clear night sky. A crisp breeze carried the scent of baked goods out onto the street. It was a serene day. Two men made their way through the crowds. Their heads were against each other, and their sides pressed together. Between them, their hands were clasped. Both men looked exhausted but pleased with soft smiles on their faces.

One of the men nudged the other's shoulder, and he directed his partner's gaze toward one of the many storefronts. Inside were two young men enjoying a milkshake between themselves. When the fair man returned his attention to his partner, there was a grin on the other's face. It seemed full of memories of their own first date at the very same ice-cream shop. Had it really been that long ago?

A chuckle escaped the darker man. He didn't think old age set on so early. He pulled the blonde over toward one of the docks. He remembered the first time he and Richie had visited this place, too. It was after a day not so very different from this one.

No, it had not been very different from this one at all. It had been pleasantly cool then as well. The heroes had finished patrolling two hours or so before. Virgil had decided to take Richie to some of the places that marked milestones in their relationship, the skating rink where they had met, the swing set where they had kissed "just to get it over with" as kids, the movie theater where they had kissed for real, the park where Richie had asked him out, and the ice-cream shop. Afterwards, Virgil had taken Richie to the dock. It had taken a short eternity for him to work up the nerve to bring out the small, velvet box and ask the question he had been dying to hear the answer to.

Virgil shook himself back into the present. He and Richie sat on the edge of the dock and watched the ocean. It had been far too long since they had visited this place. Virgil made a not to rectify that in the future. He leaned over and pressed his lips softly to Richie's temple. When the fair man turned to face him, the darker caressed his face with one hand and sealed their lips together. When they separated he whispered, "Happy tenth."
