You said of heroes, there are no such thing, and that even if there were, one you would not be/But, you are noble in the eyes of many, a savior as far as I can see

In times like these, we could all use a hero like you

Times are hard, evil is lurking, that everyone knows to be true

Once upon a time, like a knight in shining armor- no, like a magus on a quest

You vanquished every villain, and cleansed the world with every arrest

You said of heroes, there are no such thing, and that even if there were, one you would not be

But, you are noble in the eyes of many, a savior as far as I can see

As all heroes do however, you finally met your match

It seem these powers that you had came with a giant catch

Even as you lie below the grass with obsidian at your head

The heralds of your victory of many are still read

So I write to you, old friend of mine, the truest that I've had

That, though you weren't an angel, in times like these, having someone like you wouldn't be that bad
