Chapter One

1500 years ago…..

It was a sunny day outside as the wind blew the tall grass through the large fields. Chase was sitting in a tree behind a blanket of leaves so that only his orange eyes and little peaks of the light blue of his clothes could be seen. Even though it was very early into the morning it didn't show on his face, for he was an early bird. He'd get up any hour in the day or night just to see this. The tree that he was in was right next to a little and old house. His eyes lazily stared into the window at the great, Grandmaster Dashi, who was leisurely removing his shirt.

Slowly, Chase was entering a dream-like state thinking, 'take off your pants,' as he started to lean forward to get a better look, he seemed to be x-raying through Dashi's pants. Such wonderful fantasies... But just as Dashi began to remove his pants, he closed the blinds with a groggy yawn; luckily he had not seen Chase. "Ohh," Chase moaned in disappointment.

Sadly, he looked down and as he looked down he saw a …puddle mirroring his reflection. A smile wiped across Chase's kindly face, "oh, and who is that beauty staring at me from all the way down there?" His heart became that of a humming bird's. "Ohhh my, my. I-I think — I think this — this might be…love," he said to his reflection, in a voice so full of lust.

Suddenly, clouds started building up in the perfectly blue sky: he had been there, staring lovingly at his reflection for much longer than he had initially thought. A large boom echoed through the sky and was followed shortly thereafter by heavy rainfall, completely destroying his reflection in the puddle. "No! M-my love, you have left me...but alas it has not been the first time," he said sadly, almost crying. He pulled out the Woozy Shooter, a Shen Gong Wu that Dashi had been working on. "Woozy Shooter," he yelled while pointing the Shen Gong Wu towards the trees.

As a fog clouded the area, he waited a moment for some of the heavy purple smoke to clear up a little — that way he wouldn't go on a total trip — then, he breathed in slightly before a smile lit up his face, once again. The tree branch underneath him shuttered, and finally broke. He fell to the wet and cold ground; leaves in his hair, and broken branch laying tangled at his feet. Even rustled up on the ground Chase managed to look sexy and even graceful. Swiftly, he got up and brushed himself off, his silky outfit only slightly wrinkled. He raked his hands through his long, soft hair like a hairbrush, knocking out all the loose twigs and weeds. With a nervous smile and minuscule blush, he flicked his long jet-black hair out of his face. He only looked cool, calm, and collected for a moment before the blush returned when he saw a shirtless Dashi hovering above him. He looked straight at him with an indifferent expression, like he was not at all surprised.

Dashi let out a long sigh and thought to himself, 'not again Chase, not again.'
