(A/N: Hi! This is my very first request, written for Cool Fanatic! :D I tried my very best to fit the criteria you gave me, so I'm sorry if it sucks! If you don't like it, I will redo it! So lemme know! And review, people!)
It was a hot summer day in sunny Los Angeles as Kendall Knight drove to the local ice skating rink. He was off to meet his girlfriend of two months, Janelle Cruz, to spend the day together. Janelle just loved ice skating, even though she wasn't the best at it.
As he entered the rink, he grinned, seeing his girlfriend from behind. He could spot her anywhere. With her small, 5'4" frame, her dark, curly brown hair, her skinny, but still curvy body. She was seated at a table, her iPod earbuds in her ears. Sneaking up behind her, he wrapped his arms around her. She jumped but relaxed immediately, and pulled out her earbuds.
"Hi," she laughed. He planted a kiss on her cheek.
"Hey." She grinned at him.
"What were you listening to?" He asked, settling in beside her.
"'Never Let You Go.'"
"Justin Bieber?" He asked, laughing a little.
She slapped his arm, a tint redding her cheeks. "Hey, don't be hating on Bieber. BTR is still number one in my book."
He grinned at her. "Ready to skate, then?"
She grinned at him, nodding. "Yup!"
Once they'd gotten their skates and laced them up, they hit the ice, all of their pent up energy and stress releasing itself.
As Kendall studied Janelle, he realized that the song she had been listening to, Never Let You Go, actually fit to describe their relationship. (Not that Kendall would ever admit he knew a Justin Bieber song. Only after he and Janelle started dating did he check out all of her musical interests.) Particularly the lines, "It's like an angel came by, and took me to heaven" and "I'll never let you go" stuck out to him. But, as he said before, the whole song fit well.
Janelle really was, in his eyes, and angel. Kendall didn't believe in such a thing as being perfect, but she was pretty damn close. She was perfect for him. She loved watching football, was nice, loved ice-skating (which was one step away from hockey), Vans, and skinny jeans.
He loved how she suddenly popped into his life right after Jo had broken his heart. And though his heart was broken, and he shut everyone else from the world, she hadn't given up.
And for that reason, he would never let her go.
He was right by her side as she stumbled, gripping Kendall's hand for support.
"You okay?" He asked.
She nodded. "Mhmm," she said, intertwining her fingers in his.
He would definitely never let her go.
