Chapter one: Kill me now
Buffy P.O.V
I sighed, felling total and utter despair consume me. Honestly I thought all of this slayer bussniess was over with, complete, done. I should of known better, I should have known bad luck follows me around like a lost puppy. Why couldn't Giles grasp the concept that I was through with slaying. I had quit, I was done . I wanted to be the good little girl my Mom could look upon proud. Whatever happened to the trendy teenage girl who was captian of the cheer squad, prom queen, and heck had the year book tell a story of her? Oh, that's right, the slayer slayed her.
Suddenly I heard footsteps behind me, quiet as a mouse. Taking a step back, I ran torwads the alley wall, kicking at it till I did a backflip rushing through the air. Using my upper arm strength I caught onto a pole above, grasping it to keep my postion in the air. I waited for the footsteps to stop below me , before relaxing my arms allowing my body to swing forward and kick the person to the ground. With a firm plant of my foot to their chest I studied their features, I gasped.
For below me layed a handsome man with angelic features; deep milk chocolate eyes, broad shoulders, pale skin, and hair the color of cocoa done up in spikes. The man below smiled at me and whispered, "Is there a problem?"
In my defense I was distracted by my inner thoughts and that's why I didn't catch on to who he was right away, however I only came up with this defense much, much, later as I sat alone in my bed that night. Truth was I was distracted by his handsome features. Soon enough though my slayer insticts kicked in and I reconized just who had been following me that night, for below my foot I had the infamose Angelus terriozer of many. "Yes there's a problem and for once it's not in my math textbook. What do you think you're doing here?"
Angelus' smile fell. "I'm helping you, Buffy?"
I took a step away from him, my expression guarded. "H-how do you know my name?" I stuttered attempting at sounding tough.
Angelus chuckled standing to his feet, before sombering, throwing a small black velvet pouch at me. I caught reflexly, clutching at it.
"You'd be surprised how may things aren't how they seem in these town. Buffy, we're standing at the mouth of hell."
I scuffed. "That would sure explain, why you're here!"
Angelus shook his head, disapeering into the shadows, callinmg after me as he did, "Despite what you think Ms. Summers. You can't handle this one alone. You need help, you need my help."
Minutes passed as I stood, entranced, glaring at the spot where I had last seen him. I gave my head a quick shake before running into the Bronze to go find Giles,. It appears I just might need a stake of his anyway.
