A/N: Review Please! I need the help with my writing. ( If you could alert me of spelling mistakes that would be gr-8)

                                             Naked

A/N 2: I don't own any of the Avril Lavine song either.

Alec just needed to get away from it all. All the lies, the hate. It made him sick! After slipping through one of their secret exits he ran to the first bar he came across.

Mellow music blared from the speakers located around the sparkly cluttered room. A few people sat around tables talking of things with no meaning to Alec at all. Finding A dark corner he sat down and listened to the latest song as it began.

'I wake up in the morning

         ' Put on my face

' The one that's gonna get me through another day.'

The repulse song caught his attention. ' Man that sounds like me.' He thought while running his fingers through his hair.

' Doesn't really matter how I feel inside

' This life is like a game some times.'

He leaned back in his chair letting the words sink in. 'It sounds like she's singing for me.' He thought as the next line began.

' Then you came around me

              ' The walls yet disappeared.

              ' Nothing to surround me

' Keep me from my fears.'

Thoughts of a certain woman came to mind. ' She just has ways of making me care. Making me think about what I do and what I've done already.' He thought.

" Max" He whispered her name feeling strength as it passed his lips.

               ' I'm unprotected,

' See how I opened up,

                ' You've made me trust.'

' While she has gained my trust.'  He thought. A slim waitress placed a mug of beer in front of him. ' And got me to open up.'

' I've never felt like this before,

                  ' I'm naked around you.'

" Here's to you Max." He whispered while raising his mug in a toast.

                 ' Does it show?

' You see right through me

' And it feel's so right.'

Alec scanned the crowd wishing she'd just show up. That he could explain himself to her through this song. But never the less she failed to show.

' Trying to remember why I was afraid to be myself

' And let the cover fall away.'

He sighed. ' This chick had never been to Manticore.' He thought bitterly towards the young forgotten singer.

' Guess I never had someone like you to help me fit in my skin.'

Alec tossed a couple of bills onto the table top before leaving; hands in pockets. As he left through the plane door the song faded to an end. He made up his mind to tell Max how he feels once and for all.

With this new mission in life Alec headed home no longer bothered by the worlds problems.
