Jaycie Torez sat in the back of the cop car, furious. He knew this was gonna happen. But the fact that Luke and Erick had jumped Adrian had really gotten under his skin. That's why he had to go after them. With the baseball bat. And maybe a steel chair. His anger had gotten the better of him, he knew that. He'd left Harper a bloody mess, and Rowan was clutching at his ribs. But what he'd regretted most was the look in Bray's eyes… The fiery anger. The betrayal, coming through in spades… The disappointment. Jaycie hated the disappointment. His lover was extremely volatile. If he crossed Bray or the family, he knew there would be hell to pay, and that's certainly what he could expect tomorrow… All he could remember was the line that Tristen always told him. "You don't talk, you don't say nothing, okay?" He followed that line his entire life. From the day his mama got arrested for child abuse and Tristen took him in, until the day he wound up here in WWE, with Izzy repeating the line in his ear as they stood before Vince McMahon. "Keep your mind on the mission…"
"You don't talk, you don't say nothin'." Basically his mantra throughout the entire existence…
Why did his head keep turning to those steely blue eyes? Why did he care so damn much?
The radio was still playing through his inner turmoil. "Remember you belong to me, the ruler and the killer baby…"
You belong to me, Darlin… you always will…
He shook his head. "Not anymore, Bray. I double-crossed the family. You said so yourself…"
You belong to me, Jay… I'm the ruler and the killer… You put on a show for me…
He did put on a show for Bray, didn't he? Every time he got in the ring. Every night he wore the tightest pants he could find. He knew the cult leader was watching. And everyone in the locker room knew Jaycie could be a bit of a tease if he wanted to. That's why he did it. He wanted attention. Especially from the mystery known as Bray Wyatt. Bray was different. He saw Jaycie as more than a body. He saw him as a person, even if it was somebody lower than he was. That's why Jaycie flashed him a smile even as Harper and Rowan were standing by his side, showing Bray the aftermath of Jaycie's rage. Jaycie was the killer… Bray might have been the ruler in Jaycie's world, but Jaycie was the killer. And he was happy with that.
Remember you belong to me…
