Red was simply just organizing his bag in a corner while petting his Pikachu. He never imagined that he would end up in public eyes again after disappearing to Mt. Silver a few years after becoming the Pokemon Champion…..before stepping down to continue trying to catch them and train his own Pokemon until stopping at said mountain.

Then all of a sudden, Blue walked up to Red.

Blue. The eternal rival of Red. The rival who constantly taunted Red throughout their Pokemon journeys, even though he lost countless times to Red. Once he was bested by Red in being the Pokemon Champion, Blue longfully held a grudge against Red for this. However shortly after Red's new Champion status, the young champion disappeared without a word, leaving Blue in both anger and confusion for three years, unaware of Red's whereabouts. Once he heard from Gold that Red was in fact on Mt. Silver, Blue decided to go and find his former friend on the treacherous mountain.

Lo and behold after countless hours of climbing, Blue found Red in a surprisingly fine state, a contrastment of Blue's tattered clothing from climbing. Despite being former friends, Red offered Blue some shelter within his private cave, to which Blue agreed to. Though awkward at first, the two began catching up with each other until night fall came, to which Blue had to leave. However time and time again, Blue would return to the mountain to meet up and talk to Red again and even battle him from time to time, reforming their previously lost friendship.

"Can you believe it Red?" Said Blue "The two of us against other trainers who've also became Pokemon Champions at kids."

Blue then leaned close to Red.

"Though from what I've heard" Whispered Blue "All the other regions' previous champions were a bit on the easy side. Should be a cakewalk for us, am I right?"

Red rolled his eyes. Even though him and Blue became friends again, he was still annoyed by Blue's constant bragging.

Red was always the silent type. Even throughout his Pokemon journey, he never spoke more than a couple of words to others, preferring to keep to himself and his Pokemon, who, speaking of which, had a tough time adjusting to his near muteness, as he almost never gave commands verbally for using moves. However Red formed his own strategies around his silence for Pokemon Battles, using hand signals to command what moves his Pokemon should use. Some would see this as a strange method, but it was efficient enough for Red and his Pokemon to battle near flawlessly and achieve the greatest of results.

"Since the matches are randomized" Said Blue "If we're somehow faced against each other in a match…"

Blue smirked.

"I won't be holding back, Red."

Red also smirked at this, with his Pikachu suddenly making a determined pose with electricity coming out of its cheeks.

"Chuuuuuuuu!" said the Electric Mouse Pokemon.

Blue saw this and immediately made some hand gestures to calm it down.

"But in the meantime," Said Blue as he was reclining his chair "Let's just stay here and chillax!"

Red shaked his head, but while still smiling. He and his Pokemon took training seriously and had taken nearly every advantage of free time to train, almost never taking breaks for too long. (With the exceptions of the times when Blue practically forced Red into going to several tourist spots with him.)

Nevertheless, Red figured that since it would only be a few minutes until the Division started, he and his Pikachu would just sit for some time relaxing and thinking.

Though relaxed, he still felt determined. He wanted to see what other trainers from the other regions had to offer and while showing them what a Kanto Champion could do. And to do this, he would not do so lightly. He would show them the strategies and raw power of his own Pokemon and show the other Champions as to why he is considered a legend by many.
