Author's Notes: it's really really short. Just a stand alone fic. A short ficlet I just came up with last year. I just found it. ^_^ Well enjoy.

A Valentine's Day Story

"Hey baby, what's wrong?" Jadeite asked his girlfriend, his life, his Rei.

"Nothing Jed…" Rei sat on their love seat of their loft apartment in Tokyo, Japan.

"…Tell me, baby, what day is it?" Rei inquired innocently.

Jadeite looked to the calendar on the wall by the door while he walked so he was behind the love seat with Rei on it.

'Today? What's today? Thursday… February…14. 14… oh!! It's Valentine's Day! Ai! She must be pissed at me! Oh no! Wait. She doesn't like Valentine's Day.' Jadeite thought.

"Oh, baby, it's Val…" he didn't get to finish as Rei turned her head to look at him with big blue eyes, her ebony hair flinging out in the way that turned him on, she knew.

"I…it's Thursday?" Jadeite stuttered out.

Rei nodded her head as though in approval of his answer.

"Good. Alright. I'm finished. You can do whatever you were going to do. Thank you, baby." Rei went back to relaxing on the love seat.

Jadeite breathed a sigh of relief and remembered that he had already thought of Valentine's Day yesterday and bought her a gift.

'Even if she doesn't like Valentine's Day, I don't care. She's still gonna keep my gift.' Jadeite went to his secret stash and took out the present. Then he went to stand behind Rei again. He bent over to whisper in her ear.

"Contrary to you, baby, I do like Valentine's Day. For you, love." He held a solitary crimson rose colored rose in front of her, the symbol of love, and her favorite flower. (As it was the only flower that could become the shade of red that she liked) even though she didn't believe in love until Jadeite came along, she could still like the flower right?

Rei turned around to face him. She smiled.

"Come here. Sit with me?" Rei whispered.

Jadeite walked around the love seat to sit next to Rei. He put his arms around her while she put her head on his shoulder while she smelled the sweet fragrance of the flower. They cuddled and Jadeite held Rei throughout the night.

I hope you enjoyed that. It's jus a short thing I figured. I based it on a kind of Valentine's Day that I'd like to have. Like the perfect Valentine's Day. Everyone's is different right? This is mine. ^_^
