A few months had passed since the Marimeai event. To celebrate the peace, a televised charity event was taking place. Many celebrities and famous people had been asked, including the Vice Foreign Minister Relena Peacecraft. The young girl had agreed. With her agreement, the people behind the program began to plan around her, since she was going to be the focal point of the show.
When the program began to air all over the Earth and the colonies, it was a success. Millions of people watched from wherever they were, even from far away as Mars. All waited for the Vice Foreign Minister to appear, curious as to what she was going to do.
Finally it was her turn, and the host announced her.
"And now, the performance you had been waiting for, Miss Relena Peacecraft!"
The lights dimmed and only the faint shape of the young girl was seen, until the spotlight shone on her.
Wearing a white dress that made her look like an angel, Relena began to sing.
If I should stay
I would only be in your way
So I'll go but I know
I'll think of you every step of the way
And I will always love you
Will always love you
You, my darling you
Bittersweet Memories
That is all I'm taking with me
So goodbye please don't cry
We both know I'm not what you
You need
And I will always love you
I will always love you
As the music plays, the fascinated audience listened to the beautiful, haunting song. One particular young boy stared at the big screen that was showing the young girl's face, making her bigger than life.
I hope life treats you kind
And I hope you have all you dreamed of
And I wish to you joy and happiness
But above all this, I wish to you love
And I will always love you
Will always love you
I will always love
Will always love you...
Will always love you...
I will always love you
Oh, I'll always, I'll always love you
As the song died out, a lone telephone rang. The volunteer got out of his dazzled state and answered it. Frowning a little, he held out the phone for Relena.
"Miss Darlian, this is for you."
Relena took the phone.
"Hello."
Silence at first, then a deep monotone voice spoke.
"Aishiteru, Relena."
Then the person hung up.
Relena froze, too shocked at hearing the voice again.
"Heero…"
So what do you think? I think that was a good place to end it. I would think that Relena would not know any Japanese and wouldn't understand what he was saying. So I made Heero proclaim his feelings, yet leave Relena still in the dark of it. Sort of keeping with his mystique, ne? And as for a continuation, I am probably not going to make one. I like the way this ends. Even if I was to write a sequel, I don't know any good songs that would awaken my muse.
