He forced a smile, but as a man, his heart couldn't help but shattered

MarthxF!KrisxGordin, ChromxF!RobinxFrederick

Marth silently watched as Gordin held her hand.

Held Kris' hand, to be precise.

His loyal knight, his trusted friend. And yet, those titles are meaningless because Marth secretly desired for more.

As a friend, he forced his lips to form a smile.

As a prince, he forced his hand to shake hand with Gordin.

As a husband to his beautiful wife, Caeda, he forced his mind to stop thinking about Kris.

But as a a man, his heart couldn't help but shattered.

Gordin smiles widely. His usual shy demeanor was concealed by his bright, happy face.

The girl beside Gordin smiles, her fingers latched with Gordin's.

"….. Congratulation, Kris."

"Thank you, my liege,"

Her voice, soft and full of happiness, tore the prince's heart for the countless time that day.

Marth watched as Chrom discussed strategy plans with Robin

Later that evening, Marth approaches Chrom. He smiled bitterly, "You are so stupid."

"Huh?" Fail to understand, Chrom just stared confusedly at his ancestor.

"Never mind." Marth sighed, "Maybe stupidity runs in our bloodline."

"I… don't understand?"

Marth just smiled.

That forced, bitter smile that somehow concealed his feeling very well.

Chrom never understand what the meaning of Marth's words and smile, at least until Robin came to him one day, told him with obvious excitement that Frederick had proposed to her earlier.

At that time, he realized what's the meaning behind Marth' word.

That as a prince, superior, best-friend, and as a husband to his beloved Sumia, he is supposed to be happy.

He forced a smile instead, "Congratulation, Robin"

But as a man, his heart shattered in to pieces.

"Thank you, Chrom."

Her voice, soft and full of happiness, tore the prince's heart for the first time that day.

AN NOTE : THIS IS MY FIRST ENGLISH FICTIOOOOOON. Since tomorrow i'm going to have english test, i thought it wouldn't hurt to make this short fic :'). Kinda angsty, but i really want to write this!
