Hello all! This is my fanfic that I've been brave enough to post on here!
That being said, this oneshot is completely meant to be goofy. I made it for a friend, after a joke that came up so here it is! I don't own anything, just so you know. :)
"Oh Christine! I have written a new duet for us! It's absolutely wonderful and with your voice it is bound to soar into the heavens!" Erik called from the organ.
Christine was walking out of the kitchen, where she had just finished her afternoon tea. Erik usually joined her, but today he seemed very keen on finishing his new project. "I'm coming as quickly as possible! Your music never fails to bring me joy!" she called out.
When she arrived at the organ where Erik was sitting she attempted to take a glance at the music, but Erik blocked it with his body. "No, no. I want you to experience it first. It's not the same when you read ahead. Live with the music!" Erik said with much excitement.
Christine thought that this was one of his peculiar techniques that he usually applied during his lessons with her. However, they always produced wonderful music. "Alright then! Let's hear this duet! I can hardly hold my excitement!" she gushed.
Erik then started to play the staccato opening. Then he started to sing…
"Fade in on a girl
With a hunger for fame,
And a face and a name to remember.
The past fades away
Because as of this day,
Christine is gone.
She's moving on…
Her smile and your fantasies play a duet
That will make you forget where you are.
The music starts playing,
It's the beat of her heart saying…

This music swept Christine up, and then a power from within her started to sing along.
"Flashback to a girl
With a song in her heart,
As she's waiting to start the adventure.
The fire and drive
That makes dreams come alive…
They fill her soul.
She's in control…
The drama, the laughter, the tears just like pearls
Well they're all in this girl's repertoire.
It's all for the taking,
And its magic we'll be making,
Let me be your star!"
Then together they joined to make a sweet harmony.
"I'll just have to forget the hurt that came before."
"Forget what used to be." Christine sang by herself.
"The past is on the cutting room floor." Erik chimed in.
"The future is here with me." Christine could feel the climax beginning.
"Choose me!
Fade up on a star
With it all in her sights…
All the love and the lights that surround her.
Someday she'll think twice
Of the dues and the price…"
"I'll have to pay!" Christine belted.
"She'll have to pay!" Erik echoed.
"But not today!" Christine was belting higher than she had ever belted before, it was as if her Angel of Music was flying her to the peak of glory. Only Erik's echo reminded her that she was still earth-bound.
"I'll/she'll do all she can
For the love of one man,
And for millions that look from afar!
I'm/she's what you've been needing
It's all here in my/her heart pleading…
Let me/her be your star!" They sang to a close.
"That was wonderful! Thank you for writing such a beautiful song!" Christine praised, blushing slightly.
"A beautiful song for my angel. It's a pleasure for me to write it." Erik cooed.
They embraced. Once they separated Erik asked, "Shall we sing it again?"
