To Live
Every beginning has an end. Everyone walks down this one set road; it gives life a meaning. It sometimes branches off the straight standing tree giving it shape and purpose. This is what gives humans their culture, their will to achieve things hastily.
To live for an eternity means there is no end. The river keeps on flowing until the end of time. The stream may meander but no creaks will push the banks. To have all the time in the world, life has little meaning. These being have no push to climb over that hill. Much can be done in an eternity but it is a slow and tedious walker.
This is what separated us immortal beings with that of the humans. This push of surviving without meeting the end kept them going. Even with a race almost completely wiped out they kept that will. When we meet an end we just begin again but when one human does there is no return. Some envy, others dislike and dismiss it without further thought.
Now it is the immortals turn to feel the true essence of life. What it really feels like to live, really live. With one chance what can one accomplish? You would be surprised with what one life could do.
