A/N: Extremely quick drabble. Made purely of boredom and free time, so I hope you enjoy! It made me happy to write and I thought it was cute, but reviews and comments are always appreciated so please share your opinions! :)
Dad was once again in the hospital due to the seventh almost-fatal hunt he had gone on since Mom's death. Dean was forced to bring Sammy along as his younger brother was only four and couldn't stand the idea of being alone. Plus, Dean knew if his father found on he had left Sam alone at the hotel, he'd tear the boy a new one. The older brother, unfortunately, knew what Dad hunted and knew why he was always being stuck in hospitals. Their father wasn't experienced in any sense of the word and didn't squat about the Supernatural. This obviously led to Dad being sent to hospitals quite often which then led to Sammy tagging along with Dean to see their father.
The boys had just finished their conversation with Dad, him telling Dean to watch after Sammy until he got back on his feet and told Sam to be good while he was recovering. Sam was definitely an abnormal four year old, in the sense he was years older than his actual age, and instantly agreed with his father. He didn't ask what happened, if he'd be okay, and whether or not that big bad creature that had just recently tore open Dad's arm would come and get him too. Instead, he nodded to what Dad had said and walked out, hand and hand, with Dean.
As the brothers were walking, Dean began to feel a bit odd. Sammy had been awful quiet this entire walk and that wasn't something Sam did often; not talk. Concerned his brother was worried about Dad, he reassured Sam that their father would be fine because he was Superman. Or so Dean always said, anyway.
Sam, though, found his reassurance unnecessary and hard to believe because even though Dean thought Dad may be Superman, in his four year old eyes that title was reserved for his big brother.
