"Heh, well… it looks like I'm not… not going to get out… out of this one… hahahahaha," Lance laughed morbidly as he looked over at the cauterized stub that had once been his right arm. The four remaining Galra soldiers closed in on the blue paladin, rifles still ready to fire. Lance just looked around at all of them all tense and on guard and laughed internally. All of them on guard against the weakest, least talented of all the paladins. Heh, if I can this to them, just imagine what the others will do, he thought. Lance cocked his head off to the side at looked over at the screen, he saw that the four lions had gotten far enough away from the blast zone. Lance forced himself up to his feet once more, pausing for a brief second as his body was wracked with harsh cough that sprouted out a shower of blood from his mouth. And onto his helmets face mask. A trail of blood still flowing from the corner of his mouth, he could taste the iron in his mouth and knew that he didn't have long. He wasn't a medic by any means but he knew that he had to have had serious internal organ damage.

"Hasta la vista… mis amigos, and… thank you… you freakin' Galra… for sending me out… with a bang," Lance let out a thin, yet real and genuine, smile as he pulled the detonator out of his back pocket. And twisted it around in hand and popped open the cover. The Galran soldiers recognized the remote detonator and dashed towards the dying paladin, but it late. Lance flicked off the safety, closing his eyes as he depressed the button. A flash of white light flaring brilliantly in his closed his own vibrant blue eyes, then nothing. Just darkness and sweet relief.

The entire engine section of Lance's cruiser exploded brilliantly as they lit up like a firecracker on the Fourth of July. Then a spider's web of spread across the neck of of the ship as a few secondary explosions spread across the ship as the fires spread all throughout the ship. Suddenly the hundreds of thousands of containers of quintessence onboard ignited into a massive secondary explosion, turning the ship into a giant fireball that rapidly expanded and engulfed the battleship and the surrounding fleet in ball of light.
