I held my poster tightly in my shaking hands as I looked down the length of the line. Hundreds of girls were in front of me. I had already spent the best part of three hours in the queue just waiting for 12pm for the doors to open. It was slowly getting shorter as time went by, I could see some girls who had already had their turn now crying and hysterical with joy. My heart rate quickened.
8 weeks I had waited for the day that I would meet Harvey Cantwell. 8 long weeks. I had actually won the ticket to meet him on a local radio station. My parents would never of bought one for me. Now as I stood in the long line of girls who also had the chance to meet and greet with him, I felt dizzy. On getting nearer to where he was, the adrenalin was getting the better of me as I noticed the security and the over sized table which Harvey was sat at. I noticed a woman with a clip board at the front of the queue dishing out orders. No leaning over the table. No physical contact. Keep the line moving. Butterflies erupted in my stomach.
Time seemed to go in slow motion when the clipboard lady started talking at me, giving orders of what I could and couldn't do. I had to take a deep breath to try and stop myself from throwing up with excitement. She herded me on like cattle in a farm. On turning the corner I saw him sat behind the table, he said his farewells to the girl that was in front of me then his blue eyes fell on me. I couldn't move. My legs felt like jelly. My brain noted that his hair looked perfect, his smile divine. I don't know what happened but the poster fell on the floor, closely followed by myself as my legs gave way. I saw Harvey stand with a shocked look on his face. Then everything went black.
My eyes felt heavy when I opened them, a dull throb ached in my head. I didn't recognise anything that I saw. Sitting up, my head felt giddy again. " Hey take it easy. how you feeling?" Said a voice. I turned my head and there he was, Harvey Cantwell...
